Job Description
A qualified School Psychologist is needed for a contract position in Belton, TX, to support student mental health and academic success within a school setting. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to assess and address the psychological and educational needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support student well-being and academic performance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and concerns.
- Utilize data to monitor effectiveness of interventions and update plans as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as required.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting assessments and working with diverse student populations.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
