Step into a vital role supporting students educational journeys as a School Psychologist working within a collaborative and dynamic school environment. You will be responsible for providing psychological services and conducting special education evaluations for students in preschool through 4th grade. The position is onsite, part-time (21 hours per week), and extends throughout the 20262027 school year, offering the opportunity to profoundly impact young learners' lives at a formative stage.
What youll bring:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or closely related field
- Approved School Psychologist credential through the Michigan Department of Education
- Demonstrated experience working with special education populations, particularly early childhood through elementary grade levels
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and documenting special education evaluations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication and organization skills, ensuring compliance with timelines and regulatory guidelines
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Provide ongoing psychological services and recommendations for students educational programs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise on student behavioral and emotional needs
- Adjust role focus to support grades 14 as needed based on district requirements
