Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology (or related field) from an accredited program
  • Valid Michigan certification/license as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of special education processes, IEP development, and behavioral intervention techniques
  • Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to organize assessments, efficiently manage caseloads, and prioritize student needs
  • Compassionate approach toward students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and present clear, actionable results
  • Develop and interpret Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
  • Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams
  • Offer consultation, support, and recommendations to teachers, parents, and administrators
  • Deliver direct and indirect services to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to state regulations and district guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture and ongoing professional learning
