Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a contract School Psychologist supporting students from PreK to 8th grade. This rewarding opportunity involves working part-time, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., providing specialized psychological services for one elementary school in a supportive, collaborative environment. This position is open to professionals seeking both traditional onsite and VOCO service modalities.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education (LA DOE) School Psychologist credential
  • Experience with PreK8th grade age groups within educational settings
  • Comfortable conducting assessments, creating student plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, report-writing, and consultation skills
  • Ability to clear district background check and participate in required fingerprinting processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
  • Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students, families, and faculty
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement student support plans
  • Counsel students individually or in small groups, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting for compliance and best practice standards
