Job Description

Step into a vital role serving students for the 2026-27 school year as a dedicated school psychologist. This contract engagement, located near Barre, VT, offers the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment committed to student development and well-being. The position runs from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027 and follows a 37.5 hour workweek. Caseload details will be determined post-internal postings, with specifics discussed during the interview process to ensure the best fit for both your expertise and the student community.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and current certification meeting all Vermont state requirements for school psychologists
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred, demonstrating knowledge of assessment, counseling, and crisis response
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with the latest psychological assessment tools, interventions, and counseling techniques appropriate for youth
  • Ability to provide in-person services; remote/virtual options are not available at this time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, interpret results, and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Support students through individual and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention services
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student growth
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
