As a school psychologist, youll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver critical psychological services, assessment, and interventions within a high school environment. The role offers a dynamic blend of student support, problem-solving with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting a safe and nurturing school climate across multiple locations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid and current School Psychologist credentials
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Expertise in conducting psycho-educational assessments and writing comprehensive reports
- Strong consultative skills with teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to manage a flexible and mobile caseload as an itinerant provider
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to support student learning and emotional development
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Support special education eligibility determinations and the creation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention, individual, and group counseling as needed
- Consult and coach staff to address behavioral and academic challenges
- Travel between assigned high school sites as part of your regular duties
