Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Based in a welcoming suburban community, this onsite opportunity offers a chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, providing high-quality psychological services and guidance throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois School Psychologist licensure required
  • Previous experience supporting adolescents in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of high school developmental and social-emotional needs
  • Ability to manage and support individual educational plans (IEPs), assessments, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and organization within a school environment
  • Availability to work onsite, adhering to the schedule: 7:30AM - 3:00PM, from August 10, 2026 through May 14, 2027

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, observations, and assessments for high school students
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations
  • Develop and implement strategies for academic and behavioral interventions
  • Provide individual and group counseling as needed
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to best support student growth
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment enabling each student to achieve their full potential
