Job Description
A school district in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a full-time, onsite contract position at an elementary school. This opportunity spans from December 8 to May 22, offering the chance to support the academic, social, and emotional development of a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students learning needs and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and school staff
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services when needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of special education eligibility determinations
- Utilize data to inform decision-making and support positive student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, special education processes, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain detailed documentation
