Job Description

A school district in Arlington, TX is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support student success and well-being. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative educational environment to provide assessments, interventions, and consultation services that promote positive outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed
  • Support school staff through professional development and consultation on behavioral and mental health strategies
  • Monitor and report on student progress and outcomes to ensure effective intervention

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting data
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism
