Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist License required
- Previous experience with preschool-aged students preferred
- Familiarity with district-specific requirements, such as Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ethical and evidence-based school psychological practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for individual students
- Develop recommendations for instructional and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students academic, social, and emotional development
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals
- Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
- Support the creation of a positive learning environment for all students
