Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students in the greater Arlington Heights area as a contract School Psychologist. In this full-time position, you'll work with students in grades K through 5, providing vital psychological services that will have a lasting impact on young learners social, emotional, and academic development.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist credential
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Understanding of child development and behavioral interventions
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Participate in IEP and student support meetings, offering expert input and recommendations
- Serve as a resource for teachers and parents, providing guidance and effective strategies to enhance student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Uphold ethical and professional standards at all times
