Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting a K5th grade caseload. In this full-time, contract opportunity, youll play a key role in fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of young learners. Your expertise will empower educators, families, and students through comprehensive psychological services and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Strong knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support and RTI/MTSS frameworks
- Prior experience assessing and counseling students in elementary settings
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments, write formal reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support for students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and support academic and behavioral interventions
- Engage in ongoing professional development and access consultation from an experienced Clinical Advisory Team
- Communicate assessment results and recommendations clearly to staff and families
- Promote positive mental health and a supportive school climate
