A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support students across elementary and high school environments in Ann Arbor, MI. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with diverse student populations, educators, and families to promote mental health and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a positive learning environment
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with district and state regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license applicable to Michigan
- Experience working with both elementary and high school students
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
- Familiarity with state and federal education laws related to special education and student mental health
