Deliver impactful services as a school psychologist supporting K-12 students across districts situated near Emporia, KS. This contract opportunity runs from August 20, 2026, through May 20, 2027, offering the chance to make a real difference in a vibrant educational community. The role is based onsite, with all assigned districts conveniently located within approximately 20 minutes of Emporia.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas School Psychologist License (required)
- Previous experience providing psychological services in an educational setting
- Knowledge of K-12 developmental stages, special education processes, and compliance
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Ability to travel between assignments as needed within a short radius (all sites within 20 minutes)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support special education eligibility and individual education plans (IEPs)
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral support
- Maintain timely and accurate records consistent with state and district guidelines
- Serve as a resource on mental health and psycho-educational issues within the school community
