In this contract position, youll serve schools throughout a vibrant district, partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster students mental health, academic growth, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities include consultation, crisis response, and counseling services. Youll engage in parent conferences, conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities, and actively address mental health needs. In addition, youll deliver staff training and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams to offer comprehensive support for diverse learners. This is an onsite, full-time role (37.5 hours/week) during the academic year, working with varied campuses and a wide-ranging PreK-12 caseload.

Key qualifications and requirements:

• Hold a current, active NCDPI Psychology License; must include license information when applying.
• Demonstrated experience with ECATS is essential.
• Proven background in school psychology, including experience with psychoeducational assessment and crisis intervention in a school setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary team, building strong professional relationships with school staff and parents.
• Skilled in training peers, conducting consultations, and supporting mental health initiatives within schools.
• Commitment to onsite work for the entirety of the school year.
• Previous experience in North Carolina schools preferred.
