A school district in Albany, OR, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support student mental health and academic success through specialized assessments and interventions. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students to identify learning needs, behavioral concerns, and emotional challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized strategies and interventions to support student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design effective educational plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute expertise on student development and mental health.
- Maintain detailed, confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Oregon School Psychologist certification or licensure.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting standardized test results.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of IDEA, 504 plans, and relevant state educational requirements.
