Job Description
A School Psychologist opportunity is available in Akron, OH, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational and emotional development within a supportive school environment. This contract position focuses on delivering comprehensive psychological services to support student success and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify students' learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting assessments and interpreting psychological data in school settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations
