Job Description
A school psychologist position is available at a school located in Aiken, SC. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students' academic, social, and emotional development within a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing counseling and intervention services to students
- Consulting with staff on behavioral strategies and mental health issues
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to student support decisions
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with educational regulations
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in South Carolina
- Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting results
- Knowledge of special education laws and IDEA requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage caseload independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
