A position is available for a School Psychologist to serve the district-wide schools in Accomac, VA. This role requires delivering comprehensive psychological services in an educational setting, traveling throughout the district to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The assignment begins September 9, with a typical workweek of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students educational and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide indirect hours for administrative duties and attend paid team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and district policies.
- Utilize a caseload model to manage a range of students requiring psychological services.
- Travel to multiple district schools to deliver consistent support services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist License is required.
- Experience working with Pre-K through 12th-grade populations.
- Strong knowledge of educational assessments and IEP procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage an itinerant caseload.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in Accomac, VA, with district-wide travel responsibilities.
- Standard hours are 37.5 hours per week.
