Job Description

As a contract School Psychologist near Accomac, VA, youll play an essential part in providing comprehensive support services across a diverse PK-12 district. This district-wide, itinerant role offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and students, ensuring that each learner receives the care and advocacy they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active Virginia School Psychologist license required
  • Experience in school settings with PK-12 populations preferred
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and balance indirect and direct service hours
  • Collaborative, communicative, and flexible approach to working across multiple sites

Responsibilities:

  • Provide typical school psychologist services such as evaluation, assessment, and participation in IEP meetings
  • Support students social, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing across assigned schools in the district
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement effective interventions
  • Participate in paid team meetings and provide admin time as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines
  • Contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams, supporting best outcomes for students
