Step into a vital role supporting students growth and well-being as a School Psychologist at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract opportunity is located near Aberdeen, SD, and offers an exciting chance to make a difference across a variety of grade ranges, from kindergarten through high school seniors.
As a licensed professional, you will collaborate in a supportive educational environment, working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other specialists. Youll have the flexibility to shape your caseload, ensuring an engaging and manageable workload. Those with any level of prior experienceincluding motivated internsare encouraged to apply, and a background working within South Dakota schools is highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Active South Dakota School Psychologist license required
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Willingness to work with a range of grade levels (K-12)
- Flexible approach to caseload and duties
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Prior experience in South Dakota schools considered an asset
- Open to current interns or those new to the field
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and interpret results for students in grades K-12
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
- Partner with educators and families to support student success and well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing expertise in psychological services
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation as needed
- Maintain accurate records and support compliance with state and federal guidelines
