Registered Nurse (RN) School Nurse

Location: Zion, IL
Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time school nurse position in Zion, IL! This role is ideal for a confident nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced health room environment and is comfortable working independently to manage student health needs throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to students in a busy school health room.
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Monitor student health concerns and determine appropriate next steps for care.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Previous nursing experience required; school nursing experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple student health needs throughout the day.
