Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in a dynamic educational environment. This position offers part-time hoursup to 20 weeklyacross multiple school sites for the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll play a vital role in healthcare delivery and training for both students and staff.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Valid CA Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Experience with vision and hearing screenings
- Ability to complete IEP-related screenings and documentation
- Background in staff education and healthcare training
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings for approximately 450 students
- Perform 50 IEP-related health assessments
- Train staff on essential emergency interventions (including Narcan, EpiPen, glucagon, and albuterol)
- Collaborate and consult with the student health team to ensure best practices and compliance with legal requirements
- Support a safe educational environment by providing proactive health services
Additional Details:
- Assignment is fully onsite as directed
- Serve across several schools within the district, gaining experience with diverse age groups and learning communities
- Interview will be conducted virtually with the district coordinator
- Immediate hiring decision upon successful interview
