Job Description
Deliver specialized nursing care as a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) supporting a first-grade student in an elementary school setting. This part-time contract role requires providing constant supervision and medical support, specifically for a trach-dependent child, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care for a trach-dependent student requiring continuous supervision.
- Administer medical treatments and monitor the students health status during school hours.
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to support the student's educational and health needs.
- Maintain accurate health records and follow individual care plans in compliance with school policies.
- Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or health changes in the classroom.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (PA RN) license.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children preferred.
- Skilled in tracheostomy care and capable of handling complex medical needs in a school environment.
- Ability to work part-time, two days per week, providing consistent and attentive care.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in York, Pennsylvania.
- Part-time schedule, two days per week.
- Contract duration aligned with the current school year.
