Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse supporting students during extended school year programming near Windham, NH. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in school nursing, who are passionate about ensuring student health and wellness in an educational environment. You'll play a vital part in creating a safe, supportive setting for both elementary and high school students during their summer session.
Schedule Overview:
- July 6-9, 8am-2pm at the high school
- July 14-18, 8am-2pm at both the elementary and high school
- July 22-24, 8am-2pm at the high school
- July 28-31, 8am-2pm at the elementary school
- August 4-6, 8am-12pm at the elementary school
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience in a school setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of pediatric and adolescent care
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to student health needs and emergencies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students at both the elementary and high school levels
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician directives and school policy
- Assess, manage, and document student illnesses and injuries
- Support health education and promote safe, healthy environments for all students
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for school staff and families regarding student health needs
