Job Description
A Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a contract position at an elementary school in Bradford, VT, providing 1:1 medically fragile support. This role requires a licensed RN with experience in school nursing and the ability to manage individualized care for a medically fragile student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care for a medically fragile student in an elementary school setting
- Monitor health status and administer medications or treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school staff and families regarding health needs
- Ensure compliance with all school health policies and safety protocols
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies as necessary
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Vermont
- CPR and BLS certification
- Experience working as an RN in a school setting preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive 1:1 care to a medically fragile child
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Position Details:
