Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience working in a school setting
• Expertise in tracheostomy care, urinary catheterization, and ventilator support
• Ability to safely assist with student transfers and lifting as needed
• Preference for prior critical care experience
• LPNs are not eligible for this role

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 care to a high school male student who is a quadriplegic
• Operate and maintain a sip/puff wheelchair, manage trach and ventilator needs
• Administer urinary catheterization and perform other medical tasks during school hours
• Actively collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Ensure the students wellbeing, comfort, and safety throughout the school day
