In this 12-week, full-time maternity leave coverage, youll support two school buildings: a bustling high school (MondayWednesday, 7am2:30pm) and a welcoming elementary school (ThursdayFriday, 8am4pm). Engage daily with students in the health office and participate in IEP meetings for special needs students. This assignment helps you sharpen leadership skills, work within a diverse educational team, and add valuable experience to your professional portfolioall while enjoying memorable adventures during your downtime.
Qualifications:
- Active PEL (Professional Educator License) as a Certified School Nurse (Illinois)
- Demonstrated experience in school nursing (no RN-only or LPN licenses considered)
- Commitment to school-based schedules and multi-site support
- Submission of PEL certification/license and current resume required
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health services to students in both elementary and high school settings
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings for students requiring specialized support
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
