Spend your summer making a difference in a supportive K-12 school environment as a dedicated Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity spans the month of July, working Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12pm, providing essential care and support to students near Penacook, NH.
Your expertise will empower students, ensuring their well-being and safety during summer programming. This is an ideal opportunity for an RN with previous school or pediatric experience looking to positively impact the school community while enjoying afternoons free and a concise summer schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school nursing or working with children K-12 highly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to handle minor illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions with confidence
- Passion for working with students, staff, and families in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health care and first aid to students and staff as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor students with medical needs
- Respond to health emergencies and collaborate with school staff regarding students' health plans
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents regarding health concerns
- Promote a healthy, safe environment in accordance with district and state guidelines
