This contract position is tailored for a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in pediatric care, eager to make a meaningful difference in a school environment. The assignment is based in Milwaukee, WI, where you'll work at a single school site, primarily within the Health Room, engaging with students from elementary through high school ages.
This opportunity runs from orientation on August 25, 2026, with active duties from September 1, 2026, through June 15, 2027. With a consistent 37.5 hours per week, youll enjoy predictability and the chance to build relationships with students and staff over the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin RN license
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- CPR and AED certification
- At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Must have worked as an RN within the last 2 years, or completed a refresher course in the past year
- Physically capable of all aspects of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Hold a valid Wisconsin drivers license
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care and first aid to students and staff
- Monitor student health status and manage care plans for those with chronic conditions
- Administer medications and perform specialized procedures as directed
- Function as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and school personnel
- Maintain accurate health records and respond to health emergencies as needed
