Registered Nurse (RN) School Nurse

Location: Waukegan, IL
Schedule: Full-Time
Employment Type: Direct Hire with School District

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time school nurse position in Waukegan, IL! This is a great opportunity for a compassionate nursing professional who enjoys working with students and supporting their health and well-being in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and health support to students throughout the school day.
• Assess student health needs and respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate student health records and documentation.
• Communicate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
• Help maintain a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• School nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Pediatric or other relevant nursing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills.
• A passion for supporting student health and well-being.

Compensation & Benefits:

• This is a direct-hire opportunity with the school district.
