Provide essential healthcare support in an educational environment as a School-Based RN/LPN in Athens, GA. This full-time contract position involves working 40 hours per week, five days a week, focusing on caring for a 5-year-old student with specialized medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care within the school setting, ensuring the health and safety of the student.
- Manage and care for tracheostomy, gastrostomy (G-tube), and jejunostomy (J-tube) feeding systems with recent experience.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support the student's well-being.
- Monitor and document health records, identify changes in condition, and act promptly to address medical concerns.
- Implement individualized healthcare plans according to state regulations and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Georgia RN or LPN/LVN license.
- Demonstrated experience within the past year managing tracheostomy, G-tube, and J-tube care.
- Strong communication and observational skills tailored to young children.
- Ability to work effectively in a school-based healthcare role following established protocols.
