Job Description

This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a Washington-licensed Registered Nurse with school health experience to support a K-8 school setting. The assignment covers an approximately 12-week leave of absence starting ASAP and involves onsite work supporting one primary and two middle schools with a combined student caseload of about 1,550 pre-K through 8th grade students.

Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care to students, managing health plans, coordinating with school staff and families, and promoting wellness within the school community. You will ensure a safe and healthy environment by addressing acute and chronic health needs while supporting compliance with state health regulations.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Current Washington RN license is required
  • Experience in a school nursing role, preferably working with K-8 populations
  • Ability to manage a large student caseload effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of school health policies and emergency procedures
