A full-time Certified School Nurse role is available for the current school year in Washington, Pennsylvania. This contract position supports a K-12 public school with approximately 800 students. The nurse will provide essential healthcare services during regular school hours, working alongside a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to ensure student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Manage student health records, screenings, and medication administration
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to address student health needs
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid as required
- Promote health education and wellness programs within the school community
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification is required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred
- Experience working in a school setting with diverse age groups (K-12)
- Ability to work independently and with a supportive CNA
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Position Details:
- Location: Washington, PA
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Assignment: One school building serving approximately 800 students
- Contract duration: Immediate start through the end of the current school year
