Job Description
A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide nursing services at an elementary school located in Warwick, RI. This position supports student health and wellness as an integral member of the school community. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 20th, with part-time hours totaling 20 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to elementary school-aged children
- Monitor and manage student health conditions during school hours
- Collaborate with school staff including paraeducators or other support personnel for supervision
- Maintain accurate health records and follow school health policies
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers about student health concerns
Qualifications:
- Valid RN or LPN license required
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to student health, safety, and confidentiality
