A part-time licensed nurse is needed to support an elementary school located in Warwick, RI. This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to provide nursing care and health support for young students within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily nursing care and health services to elementary-aged children
- Monitor students health and manage chronic conditions during school hours
- Collaborate closely with school staff and supervisors such as paraprofessionals or LPNs
- Maintain accurate health records and follow district protocols
- Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN or LPN license
- Experience working in a school or pediatric nursing environment preferred
- Ability to work part time, approximately 16 hours per week during morning and afternoon sessions (8:009:30 AM and 2:454:15 PM)
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate care within a school setting
- Commitment to student safety and confidentiality
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Warwick, RI at an elementary school
- Contract-to-Hire with an anticipated start date as soon as possible through June 20th
- Part-time, 4 hours daily; school pays for 4 hours regardless of direct student contact time
