Job Description
A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available at an elementary school located in Wakefield, RI. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 20th and offers approximately 20 hours per week, providing nursing support to young students in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health services tailored to elementary-aged children
- Administer medications, manage health plans, and respond to student health needs during school hours
- Collaborate with school staff and supervise aides such as paraprofessionals, CNAs, or LPNs to ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all relevant health, safety, and confidentiality protocols
- Participate in school health initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe learning environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid RN or LPN license
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with school personnel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic school environment with elementary school children
