A registered nurse is needed to provide specialized nursing care within a middle school setting in Wake Forest, NC. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through June 9, 2026, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, working 37.5 hours per week. The nurse will be responsible for managing a caseload primarily focused on a student with tracheostomy needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering skilled nursing care focused on tracheostomy management and trach care
• Developing and implementing individual health plans or plans of care for students
• Conducting comprehensive health evaluations and assessments
• Providing oversight and supervision to the mother nursing or medical staff supporting the student
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure students health needs are met in accordance with educational goals

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Current and valid RN licensure (LPN candidates will not be considered)
• Expertise in tracheostomy care and management within pediatric or school settings
• Experience creating and managing individual health plans or plans of care
• Ability to perform thorough health assessments and evaluations
• Strong communication and supervisory skills to collaborate with caregivers and school personnel
