Step into a vital role serving K-12 students as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic school environment near Victorville and Colton, CA. This full-time contract position provides essential coverage throughout the district until the close of the current school year (6/2/2026). Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Active California RN license in good standing
- Certified School Nurse credential required
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of medication administration and student health protocols
- Ability to float between multiple schools as needed
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Experience with IEP meetings and accommodations for medically fragile students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing services across K-12 campuses, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school guidelines
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings to support early detection and intervention
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing nursing expertise for students with medical needs
- Maintain accurate health records and monitor chronic conditions
- Act as a resource for staff, students, and families regarding student health issues
- Respond to medical emergencies with composure and skill
