Job Description
A full-time Certified School Nurse opportunity is available for contract leave coverage through June 2, 2026, supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. This role is ideal for an RN with School Nurse certification who is passionate about student health and eager to contribute across multiple grade levels by providing comprehensive nursing services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care and support to K-12 students throughout the district
- Assist with medication administration and monitor student health needs
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings to support student wellness
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, particularly for medically fragile students, collaborating with the educational team
- Float between schools within the district to ensure consistent nursing coverage and support
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Certified School Nurse credentials
- Experience working in school nursing preferred
- Skilled in medication administration and conducting health screenings
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals
Location: Victorville, CA, with float coverage responsibilities across district schools including Colton, CA.
