A full-time Registered Nurse with specialized certification is sought for a contract position providing essential health services within a K-12 educational setting located in Victorville, CA. This role offers full-time leave coverage through the end of the current school year (6/2/2026) and involves supporting students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and provide routine healthcare to students as needed
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings in accordance with certification standards
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, particularly focusing on medically fragile students
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Respond to health emergencies and offer first aid services on site
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Certified School Nurse or Registered Nurse with vision and hearing screening certifications
- Experience working in school health services preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Location: Victorville, CA, with flexibility to float throughout the district to support various schools as required.
