This position calls for a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse who is prepared to provide compassionate care for both medically complex and general education students during the summer sessions.
You will be part of the Extended School Year (ESY) program, with a schedule from 7am-2pm on the following dates: June 11, June 26, June 29, July 6, July 7, July 13, and July 14. Additional general education coverage is needed from 7am-2pm on July 20, July 24, July 27, and July 29. This is an excellent chance to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Credentialed School Nurse certification required
- Prior experience with school-aged children, preferably in school settings
- Skilled in care for medically complex individuals as well as general health management
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability and strong organizational skills, with the ability to travel to multiple local sites as needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing and managing health needs of medically complex students during ESY sessions
- Providing routine and emergency nursing services to general education students
- Administering medications and managing chronic conditions as necessary
- Serving as a vital health resource for students, families, and staff
- Maintaining accurate health records and supporting safe learning environments across multiple locations
