This contract position is ideal for a Registered Nurse who enjoys working in educational settings and wants to contribute to a vibrant school community. Work part-time mornings with the ESY Program, and help ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN license required
- Strong background in school-based nursing
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a school setting
- Credentialed candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be able to commit to the full program schedule: June 17 July 17, 2026
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the assignment location
- Previous experience in an ESY or summer school program is a plus
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide direct care for students with acute and chronic health conditions
- Administer medications and first aid as needed during school hours
- Promote overall student wellness and help manage health plans
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding student health needs and emergency situations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators
- Support health education and help maintain accurate records
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times
This part-time assignment runs Monday through Friday, with work hours between 8 AM - 12:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 1 PM. You'll play a pivotal role in helping students have a successful summer learning experience.
