Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Active Illinois RN license or Illinois Certified School Nurse credential
- Previous experience working with children, especially within an elementary school setting, highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to health emergencies, administer medication, and manage chronic conditions
- Team-oriented with a nurturing, student-centered approach
- Comfortable collaborating with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to students with acute or chronic health needs during the school day
- Develop and implement individualized health plans as needed
- Manage medication administration and maintain accurate health records
- Promote health education and wellness among students and staff
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to develop a safe, supportive learning environment
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student health and well-being
