Providing personalized nursing care in educational settings, this travel position in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Florida, offers full-time hours working directly with students who require one-on-one attention. The role primarily supports students with complex medical needs, including gastrostomy tubes (G-tube), tracheostomies, and epilepsy, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to students, managing medical equipment such as G-tubes and tracheostomy care
- Monitor and respond to epilepsy and other health conditions during school activities
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and healthcare teams to support the students educational experience and health plan
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and health status
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and nursing standards
Qualifications:
- Active Florida LPN or RN ASN licensure required
- Current CPR certification mandatory
- Experience providing nursing care in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to work independently in one-on-one student care situations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
