About the Opportunity
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented School Nurse for a full-time, school-based position in Tampa, FL for the 20262027 school year. This role is essential in promoting student health, safety, and wellness, ensuring students are supported and ready to learn each day.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and health assessments
- Manage and maintain student health records in compliance with state and district regulations
- Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
- Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Respond to medical emergencies and ensure appropriate follow-up care
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school
Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
