What Were Looking For:
- Valid California licensure as a Certified School Nurse (CSN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Experience in a school setting is highly preferred; a commitment to child-centered care is essential
- Comfortable performing health screenings and supporting students with varied needs and disabilities
- Flexibility to work across multiple schools and engage with students of different ages
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing and vision screenings across the district in accordance with student health regulations
- Work in partnership with school nurses to provide high-quality healthcare assistance
- Document health assessments, maintain accurate records, and assist in follow-up as needed
- Serve as a resource for students, families, and faculty regarding student health needs
- Support inclusive and accessible learning by addressing health barriers to education
