Spend your summer making a difference as a school nurse, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract opportunity in the Suncook, NH area runs throughout July, featuring a convenient scheduleMonday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm. Help maintain a healthy, supportive environment for children and adolescents during summer programming.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience working as a school nurse or in a similar pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with standard school health procedures, including medication administration, emergency response, and student health documentation
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, staff, and administration
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to a variety of student health needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency health care to students during the summer school program
- Administer necessary medications, track health records, and respond to any medical incidents
- Collaborate with educators and staff to promote healthy habits and ensure a safe environment
- Serve as a resource for students and families regarding common health concerns
- Maintain accurate records of care given, treatment plans, and parent communications
