Enjoy a rewarding contract position supporting students' health and well-being in a vibrant ESY Summer Program serving approximately 115 students from Pre-K through high school. Located near Stoneham, MA and just minutes from East Somerville, this opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a dynamic, supportive educational setting.
The program operates Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from July 6th to August 6th, offering you an excellent work-life balance with your afternoons, evenings, and weekends free. Immediate interviews are being scheduled for highly qualified candidates!
Qualifications:
- Active MA RN license required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and respond calmly in emergencies
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing services and promote student health and safety throughout the school day
- Provide direct care and first aid for injuries, illness, or medical emergencies
- Monitor and administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with school staff and families on health plans and individualized care
- Maintain thorough and confidential health records in compliance with regulations
