A school health nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with pediatric experience to provide essential nursing support within the K-12 setting. This contract role involves working within multiple schools, primarily supporting health rooms and offering 1:1 nursing coverage as needed. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and confident managing a diverse student population, including those with various disabilities.

Location: Springfield, MA area, with nearby towns such as Granby (10 minutes), Holyoke (15 minutes), and Northampton (25 minutes).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and health room support in school environments.
• Deliver individualized care for students requiring 1:1 attention.
• Support school events requiring nursing presence.
• Manage health-related documentation and maintain compliance with school health policies.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families to promote student well-being.
• Assist students with diverse health needs, including chronic conditions and disabilities.

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Pediatric and school health nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work full-time coverage several times per month with flexibility.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic educational setting.
• Reliable transportation to travel between nearby schools as needed.
