Provide essential healthcare support to students as a full-time School Nurse (RN or LVN) in a K-12 educational setting located in Spring, TX. This contract position runs from the end of January to mid-February, serving as a vital health resource within the schools health room. The role operates Monday through Friday, ensuring consistent care and support throughout the school week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas RN license, Texas LVN license, or Compact RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage student health records
- Ability to provide first aid, emergency care, and routine health assessments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to students in the health room, addressing a wide range of health concerns and emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate health records for all students on the caseload
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student health and wellness
- Implement health education initiatives and promote healthy practices within the school community
