A part-time registered nurse opportunity is available in South River, NJ, supporting a bright 4th-grade student with specialized health needs in a general education setting. This contract role involves providing one-on-one nursing care, focusing on supporting the students daily health requirements related to PRM3 Myopathy, wheelchair use, and oxygen support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care during school hours, ensuring safety and well-being
- Monitor and manage the students medical condition, including oxygen therapy and mobility needs
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate health care plans into the student's school routine
- Respond promptly to any health emergencies or changes in condition
- Maintain accurate health records and communication with parents and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey RN licensure and certification required
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing highly preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a school environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This position offers a part-time schedule of two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday), approximately 15 hours weekly, starting immediately and continuing through June 23, 2026. The role is based in South River, NJ.
